Si arricchisce ora dopo ora la lista degli artisti che stanno rendendo omaggio a Chris Cornell, l’artista di Seattle scomparso la notte tra mercoledì e giovedì a Detroit. A rendergli omaggio anche l’amico e “compagno di palchi” Tom Morello dei Rage Against The Machine con cui Chris fondò nel 2001 il supergruppo degli Audioslave.
“Ti voglio bene, fratello. Grazie per la tua amicizia e il tuo umorismo, per il tuo intelletto e il tuo talento, singolare e ineguagliabile”, ha scritto su Instagram Morello. “È stato un grande onore conoscerti come amico e compagno di band. Sono devastato e profondamente rattristato del fatto che te ne sia andato, ma il tuo potere sfrenato nel rock, le tue delicate melodie e il ricordo del tuo sorriso saranno con noi per sempre. La bellezza della tua voce, e della tua persona saranno sempre nel mio cuore. Dio benedica te e la tua famiglia”.
Non solo una lettera ma anche una poesia, che il chitarrista dei Rage Against The Machine ha pubblicato poche ore dopo sempre attarverso i suoi canali social e che vi riportiamo integralmente di seguito.
