È iniziato ieri sera dalla Meadowlands Arena di East Rutheford l’Us+Them Tour di Roger Waters. «Il messaggio principale che voglio trasmettere con questa tournée è relativo al concetto di guerra perpetua che è stato fatto proprio dai neoconservatori, in particolar modo negli Stati Uniti d’America», ha spiegato l’artista inglese ai microfoni Billboard.
Durante lo show Waters ha proposto ventitré brani tratti dal suo repertorio solista e da quello dei Pink Floyd. La prima data è stata anche l’occasione per presentare per la prima volta live i brani tratti dal nuovo album di inediti, Is This the Life We Really Want?, in uscita il prossimo 2 giugno per Columbia Records.
L’Us + Them Tour proseguirà il 28 maggio al KFC Yum! Center di Louisville: in Europa la tournée dovrebbe approdare nel 2018. Di seguito video, foto e scaletta della prima data.
