È morto all’età di 48 anni Sam Rivers, fondatore e bassista dei Limp Bizkit. Il musicista si è spento la scorsa notte e la notizia del decesso è stata confermata questa mattina dalla band sui propri canali social, senza specificare le cause della morte.
«Oggi abbiamo perso nostro fratello – scrivono i Limp Bizkit – Il nostro compagno di band. Il nostro battito cardiaco. Sam Rivers non era solo il nostro bassista, era pura magia. Il polso sotto ogni canzone, la calma nel caos, l’anima nel suono».
Nato il 2 settembre del 1977, Sam Rivers aveva fondato i Limp Bizkit in Florida nel 1994 insieme a Fred Durst, Rob Waters e John Otto. Nel 1999 Significant Other, il secondo disco della band, fece conoscere i Limp Bizkit in tutto il mondo. Fu l’inizio di una cavalcata trionfale, della quale Sam Rivers è stato protagonista fino a ieri.
